My 4th Visit to Disneyland Park

By on September 19, 2025

Back in June, a friend and I visited Anaheim for a 4 day park ticket to Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebrations.  It was for a Friday to Monday visit.  The first two days was for Disneyland Park, while the last two days was for Disney California Adventure Park.  Doing this gave us lots of time to do everything at a slower pace.  We did a lot on our first day and this post will be about our second day at the park.

Getting There

Just like our first day going to the park, we stopped at CVS Pharmacy to get some drinks and snacks.  This second day of this trip will be my 4th time ever visiting Disneyland Park.  We still did a lot this visit and here is a recap of what we did on day 2 of this 4 day visit.

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

(Tomorrowland)

We arrived at the park around 11:45 AM and after taking pics in front of the 70th anniversary signs, we went to Tomorrowland for our first DAS selection: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.  I have been on this ride on my previous 2 visits to Disneyland, Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Paris.  This ride is wheelchair accessible but I couldn’t hold the laser gun.

The ride is still very cool as I still get to watch my friend blast away the bad guys while the ride vehicle spins around.  It was so fun that we got to ride this twice in a row just like I did back in Disneyland Paris too.

Star Wars Launch Bay

(Tomorrowland)

While waiting for our next DAS ride selection, we wandered around Tomorrowland and went to Star Wars Launch Bay.  This place is looking really empty as it mostly closed down in 2020 when Star Wars Galaxy Edge opened in 2019 at Disneyland.

some cool Star Wars displays

It is still partially open with a few Star Wars memorabilia and artwork.  There was also a Darth Vader character meet that few people knew about.  Cast members were telling us that Launch Bay should be demolished soon.  By the time we were done with pictures, it was time for our next DAS ride selection.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

(Tomorrowland)

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage was our next ride.  My friend got to try out the ride first to see if it would be easy to carry me down a spiral staircase to get into the yellow submarine ride vehicle.  He thought the opening was too narrow to even attempt a trial lift.  My friend did get to experience the ride and was able to describe the difference to the alternate version of this ride.

was hard to get in this low submarine ride vehicle

The Observation Outpost is at the end of the dock, as we get to go inside a little room.  I got to stay in my wheelchair as my friend gets to take a seat.  We get to watch a live version of the voyage via a submarine cam.  Here we go on a 12 minute underwater adventure to find the famous clown fish Nemo.  We see scuba divers and other characters from the movie like Dory, Marlin, Squirt and more.

at Observation Outpost, we experience an alternate accessible version. We watch live cam version of the voyage.

Autopia

(Tomorrowland)

had to get transferred into the ride vehicle

We then went next door to go on Autopia ride.  This is a race track attraction that has riders steer cars through an enclosed track.  This ride requires my friend to physically lift me into the car vehicle.  The car never could get really fast and it was a fun ride that was never too scary going through the curves and inclines of the course.

easy but fun race track

Downtown Disney

We then took a couple of photos with Cruella before heading to Downtown Disney to meet friends.  We wanted to take the Disneyland Monorail from Tomorrowland out to Downtown Disney but it was temporarily shut down due to the extreme heat and no air conditioning inside the trains.  Read more about my experience here.

met up with friends at Downtown Disney

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

(Star Wars: Galaxy Edge)

After Downtown Disney, we used our DAS pass to skip the lines to get back into Disneyland.  We headed straight to Star Wars Galaxy Edge to get to our next DAS selection: Rise of the Resistance ride.  This attraction is one of my favorites and always have long line ups.

Storm Troopers in the queue area

I have been on this both at Hollywood Studios in 2021 and Disneyland in 2022.  It has been opened in 2019 and 2020 respectively.  I love the queue area and the pre show to this ride as much as I love the ride itself.  You can tell Disney really spent a lot of money on this attraction.  My friend did have to transfer me onto this ride and since we had to exit and re-enter to do this ride again, we quickly selected it as our next DAS selection.

Character Meets

(Star Wars: Galaxy Edge)

While waiting for our DAS return time, I was able to lean back, rest and pressure relief a bit.  We also explored around Galaxy Edge for a bit.  We also got a chance to have a few character pics as they happen to be walking by us.  We got pics with both Chewbacca and Rey Skywalker.

Rey Skywalker

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

(Star Wars: Galaxy Edge)

We went back on Rise of the Resistance ride and it was just as fun.  My friend lifted and carried me back into the ride vehicle.  Even though we weren’t able to ride this back to back, it was great seeing all the pre show stuff and seeing all the props and set pieces before the actual ride.  My friend then went solo on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride which is an update of Splash Mountain ride.

had to get back into queue to ride this again

Paint the Night Parade

We wanted to watch Paint the Night parade again and caught the early show at 8:50 PM.  It was just amazing watching it for the second time as it was for the first time.  We didn’t take as many pictures this time and focused more on watching it.  Since this parade was about 20 minutes long, we had time to get to a better viewing area for Wondrous Journeys at 9:35 PM.

second night in a row watching this

Wondrous Journeys

We actually found a better spot to watch Wondrous Journeys and it was great.  The images and projections on the castle wasn’t blocked by trees or other people.  The fireworks were also easier to see as we can see higher in the sky.  This 15 minute show was worth seeing it twice.

better view than previous night

Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga

We then headed over to Star Wars: Galaxy Edge to catch the 10:15 PM showing of Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga.  This brand new show is about 10 minutes long and debuted on March 28, 2025 with Season of the Force.  The Spires of Batuu transform into a canvas for the story of the Skywalker Family from episode 1 to 9.

private viewing area on the upper level

Since we arrived early and knew one of the security guards, he let us in a special viewing on the upper level to get a better view of the projection show.  We had a perfect view and it wasn’t crowded at all in the private viewing area.  We both enjoyed the Star Wars movies so we both really enjoyed the show.

loved the projection show

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

(Bayou Country)

We still had about an hour and a half left before the park closes, so we continued with more rides.  We went back to Bayou Country to ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.  This ride was wheelchair accessible and I previously rode it twice in a row on my previous visit.

ride vehicle was wheelchair accessible

This ride is slow moving and is a dark ride featuring the characters of Winnie the Pooh in bright displays and sets.  It was not busy when we went so we got to ride this twice in a row again.  I really enjoyed this ride.

got to ride this twice in a row

Jungle Cruise

(Adventureland)

My last ride of the night was the Jungle Cruise ride.  This ride is also wheelchair accessible and is one of my favorites.  After boarding on the accessible boat, we get to travel through various rivers around the world, seeing different animatronics and laughing at our skipper’s puns and jokes.

wheelchair accessible boat

Riding this attraction in the dark made it more mysterious and eerie because we couldn’t see what was in the waters unless there was a light pointing directly at it.  My friend did go alone on the Indiana Jones Adventure right after before everything closed for the night and heading back to the hotel.

fun boat ride

Final Thoughts

My friend and I had another great night and really enjoyed day 2 of 4 of this trip.  We left the park almost at midnight so that means we were there just over 12 hours.  We did leave the park for over 2.5 hours to visit friends at Downtown Disney though.  After spending 2 full days at Disneyland Park with the DAS pass we did accomplish a lot.

Star Wars Galaxy Edge

There were still a few rides I wanted to go on like the Snow White ride but that would have to be another year.  We had 2 days left and both days are dedicated to Disney California Adventure Park.  Look for those blog posts coming soon.
