Angel Stadium of Anaheim
Last month, a friend and I got the chance to see the Los Angeles Angels play against the Cleveland Guardians Major League Baseball game at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Even though we arrived a day late to our hotel, we had enough time to check in the hotel and go to our game in the evening.
Getting There
Instead of trying to get an accessible taxi or transferring into a regular taxi or Uber, we decided to just take the 35 minute walk/stroll to the Angel Stadium of Anaheim from our hotel. We got to look and see what is in the area during our journey to the stadium and grab a snack and drink at the 7-Eleven on the way.

just over the 30 minutes walk/stroll from our hotel downtown to the stadium
Just like at the Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola a week earlier, we arrived at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim early so we could explore the stadium a bit. It was easier to visit the different levels of the stadium and check out some of the shops and memorabilia before it got too crowded.

checking out some of the memorabilia
Angel Stadium of Anaheim opened in April 1966 and has a capacity of over 45,000 fans. It is the 4th oldest stadium in the MLB and had previously been the home to former baseball and football teams. It has also hosted some major soccer games and some big name concerts over the years.

It is located at 2000 Gene Autry Way and and we already noticed how this stadium was so much bigger than the one we went to in Pensacola. There was a special museum area where there were past sports memorabilia and trophies, a photo op room with the players in virtual reality and a big restaurant/pub overlooking the baseball field.

at the team store
Despite being an older stadium, it had great wheelchair accessibility. There were accessibility seating at all price levels and we got a spot further back which still had a great view. The stadium looked to be only half full as the game went on, so it never really got too crowded.

our accessible seats
It was easy for us to use the bathroom, as there was a set of bathrooms with an accessible one right behind our section. When the sun went down, it was a bit windy so we decided to watch the last part of the game at Brewery X and have some food too. The outside patio was already full so we got a table with a big window that had a perfect view of the field.

watching batting practice before the game
It was a fun time watching the Angels beat the Guardians 4-1. I enjoyed watching another baseball game this trip as it gave us something to do and also gave me another stadium to compare the accessibility. The stadium wasn’t too far from Disneyland so it is something I would do again if ever coming back to Anaheim.
