2018 Travels Year In Review
Another year has passed and it was another year of great travels and new experiences. Surprisingly I only made it on 3 trips this year and plan on going to Puerto Vallarta next week over New Year’s eve. Here is my exciting 2018, year in review.
Los Angeles, USA / South Africa
One of my dream destinations was to do an African safari. Teaming up with Access2Africa Safaris and working with Jennae and Dave, my dream became reality. It was amazing to see wild animals like hippos, zebras, elephants, rhinos and more just wandering around in their natural environment. Going snorkeling, interacting with elephants and cheetahs were other highlights of this amazing trip. We also did a few days in LA as a stopover to make the flight to Durban shorter. Read more here.
Tampa Bay, USA
I had such an amazing time last year at Sunset Music festival and a cruise that I decided to do basically the same exact trip as last time. This year however was rainy and the 2nd and final day of the music festival was cancelled due to weather warnings. Even the 5 day cruise was mostly cloudy and rainy. I still had a fantastic time on this trip, but definitely prefer sunny weather. Read more here and here.
Las Vegas, USA
Seems like I been going to Vegas every year. Again I went for Labor Day Weekend. This year, I did not have any wheelchair problems and I finally got to meet The Chainsmokers. Vegas is always a great place to visit because of the hot weather and all the fun events that occur there. I will be back in 2019 no doubt. Read more here.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
I actually got to visit this city way back in November 2006. That was my first ever trip since being paralyzed and in a wheelchair. I remember being so nervous about flying in an airplane and being worried about having a friend help me with personal care. I was worried about everything at first but was comfortable by the end of that trip. I am excited to be back next week to my very first destination and will be a lot more relaxed this time around.
Again, I enjoyed my 2018 travels and always looking forward to the future. Thanks for following along and reading about my adventures.
