Hanoi Le Chateau Hotel & Spa

By on May 14, 2025

Just a few weeks ago, a friend and I flew to Asia for a 2 week trip.  Our first stop was to Hanoi, Vietnam for 5 nights.  I was last in Hanoi in 2017 and stayed at Lotus Boutique Hotel and wanted a different hotel that was still in the Old Quarter area.  I looked online and booked Le Chateau Hotel & Spa, which was listed as a 5 star hotel.

Hotel

Le Chateau Hotel & Spa opened in August 2024 and has 41 rooms on 8 floors.  There is actually 2 buildings inside the hotel with each building having its own elevator.

3 steps to get inside the hotel but staff always automatically help us up or down the steps

When we arrived, we noticed that there were 3 steps to get inside the hotel.  Staff automatically came to help me up the stairs with my wheelchair.  We got a delicious welcome drink which was a cup of freshly squeezed watermelon juice.

front desk staff was always very helpful, hotel was very clean and still looks new

Looking around, we noticed how nice the decor of the hotel was and how clean and tidy the front desk area was.  The hotel manager Lana spoke really good English and accommodated us by giving us an extra rollaway bed for our room and allowed us to take the daily free breakfast buffet food to our room since the restaurant can only be accessed by stairs.

really enjoyed this boutique hotel

Room

Our room was a bit small but we still managed with the available space to move around.  The Queen size bed was soft and comfortable and the rollaway bed was positioned at the foot of my bed.  It was easy to fold away when not in use giving us more space in the room.

There was a small TV above a desk and chair that we didn’t use.  We did use the mini fridge often and did not buy any of the snacks or drinks in the room.  The one wall is a giant piece of glass that looks into the bathroom.  Luckily there was a privacy curtain.

The bathroom was also a bit small but we made it work for me.  My commode did fit over the toilet but it did not fit in the roll in shower.  I was still able to shower with the commode over the toilet and using the handheld showerhead to reach me.

There was also a nice bath tub that neither of us used.  I couldn’t really wheel up to the sink but that was fine.  I could just use the mirror and sink from a few feet back.

Amenities

There was a free daily breakfast buffet everyday from 6 AM to 10 AM.  Since there was stairs to the 8th floor restaurant, my friend was able to bring food for us to eat in the room.

excellent daily free breakfast buffet on the 8th floor and only accessible by stairs so my friend was allowed to bring food to the room for us

There was a great selection of Vietnamese food, desserts and fruits.  Also eggs, bacon, toast and other types of Western food.  Staff even helped my friend carry it to our room.

Wifi worked well throughout the property and Lana and staff were helpful in recommending things to do and whatever we needed for a personalized fantastic stay.  There were also a small fitness room and a small rooftop area that wasn’t busy when we checked.

Location

The hotel has an address of 23-25 Hang Thiec street and is located in Old Quarter.  It is on a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants but was never noisy for us to sleep.  It is about a 20 min walk to the popular Hoan Kiem Lake and a 10 min walk to Thang Long Puppet Theatre.

Hoan Kiem Lake is not far from hotel

Final Thoughts

Le Chateau Hotel & Spa wasn’t the most accessible hotel but I would stay again because of the excellent customer service from Lana and all the staff.  The hotel is new, fresh, looks great and also features an excellent free breakfast buffet daily and is in a great location.

Hotel manager Lana and the entire staff made our stay excellent and memorable that I would stay again
