Grand Park City Hall Singapore

By on October 14, 2026

Last month, a friend and I went to Singapore for 4 nights before boarding a cruise.  I wanted somewhere close to downtown and a few of the attractions that we were going to do.  I looked for a hotel that also had a pool and a roll in shower.  After sending out emails back and forth about accessibility, I ended up booking Grand Park City Hall.

Hotel

Grand Park City Hall originally opened in 1996 as a 5 star heritage hotel in Singapore’s historic Civic district.  It reopened in 2018 after major renovations.  It has 10 floors with 343 rooms.  We arrived at the hotel early morning just before 8 AM.  There were automatic doors which we had to go to floor to get to the front desk to check in.

front desk is on floor 3, we got to check in really early and got a rollaway bed free all 4 nights

The lady reminded us that accessible rooms with the roll in shower only have 1 bed.  We asked if we could get a free rollaway bed for our stay so that we could still get an accessible room but have 2 beds.  She agreed and even let us check into our room early at 8 AM which we gladly accepted to have a quick rest before exploring the city.

Room

We got room 424 which had a nice large and soft Queen size bed.  If we didn’t have the rollaway bed, there would be enough room to wheel around.  The extra bed did flip upright when not in use so that helped giving us more space.  The giant mirror beside the bed made the room look bigger for sure.

There was a small TV on the wall, enough drawer space, coffee, tea machine, and water filter machine.  There was also a small chair with a side table in the corner of the room.  It was a decent enough of a room for the both of us.

The bathroom was big and spacious.  There is a roll under sink with a brightly lit large mirror.  The roll in shower had both a fixed and handheld removable shower head.  There were a few grab bars right along the shower wall.  The toilet was a good height for my commode to fit over too.

Amenities

This hotel didn’t really have too many amenities.  The free wifi worked well throughout the entire property including our room, hallways, pool, and lobby.  There was a free small gym with giant windows on the 4th floor for guests to use.  There is also a restaurant on the 3rd floor which we did not visit and a concierge desk on the main floor.

Pool

The pool is located on the 4th floor and requires a separate wheelchair elevator lift to get to.  There is one main large pool with shallow areas for people to lounge on beach chairs.  There was no wheelchair pool lift for disabled guests.  There is a mini bar to order food and drinks from and the pool is right beside the gym.

Location

Grand Park City Hall has an address of 10 Coleman Street.  The hotel is right beside a couple big shopping centers including Funan Outlet Mall and Peninsula Plaza.  The hotel is also very close to the City Hall MRT train station.  Merlion Park is also very close.

Final Thoughts

We both had a great experience staying at Grand Park City Hall.  They let us check in really early and gave us a rollaway bed free for our entire stay.  The accessibility of the room and bathroom was great even though the accessible rooms only have 1 bed.  The pool didn’t have a wheelchair pool lift but I never wanted to get into the pool anyways.  The location of the hotel was great and prices were reasonable.  I would stay again.
