Disney World’s All Star Music Resort

By on January 7, 2026

Last month, a friend and I visited Orlando to spend some Christmas holidays with Disney.  I booked a Merrytime Disney cruise and wanted to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.  I wanted to stay right at Disney World to be closest to the parks as possible.  I chose Disney’s All Star Music Resort because it was reasonably priced and had an accessible room with a roll in shower.

Hotel

Disney’s All Star Music Resort is one of three value All Star Resorts at Walt Disney World.  It opened in November 1994 and is divided into 5 themed sections, with each section having 2 buildings with 3 floors each.  They total 1700 rooms and the main building called Melody Hall has the front desk, food court and arcade.

at $16 per person, Mears Connect is a great way to get from Orlando airport to any Disney hotel

We arrived in the evening using the pre-booked Mears Connect shuttle bus.  It was $16 per person and had a special area at the Orlando airport.  It was wheelchair accessible and stops at any Disney hotel.  When we arrived at the hotel, it was easy to get in as there were large automatic doors.  We checked in easily and were each given a free button and a rice crispy marshmallow treat.

checking was easy and we both got a free button and a marshmallow treat

Room

We got room 9647 which is on the third floor of building 9 Jazz Inn building.  This wasn’t too far from Melody Hall and it was convenient using my MagicBand+ to unlock the room door.  We weren’t able to get an accessible room with 2 beds so the 1 bed situation was ok since we were only staying for 2 nights.

room was decent and spacious

The room was quite spacious and had a dresser, table with chair, mini fridge, safe, coffee maker, Alexa voice assistant display box and a large TV that that has all the information about the day’s events and schedule for each theme park and more.

The bathroom was a good size and worked well for my needs.  The roll in shower did have a slight lip that made it a bit hard to wheel the commode inside.  It was a bit tight inside the shower so the commode could not fully turn around once inside.  There was a flip up bath seat and a removable hand held shower head along with a fixed shower head.

There was a nice wide roll under sink.  The toilet was a great height for my commode to wheel over.  There was also 2 grab bars right by the toilet.

Amenities

Amenities include 2 laundry rooms and many vending machines throughout the property.  The free wifi worked well everywhere too.  Self parking is also free for all hotel guests.

our room was in 1 of the 2 Jazz Inn buildings

There is also free recreational activities held daily that include the arcade room, poolside activities, arts & crafts, trivia, and movies under the stars.  We did not participate in any of these activities except visiting the arcade room as we did not have any extra time.

gift shop

There is a gift shop called “Maestro Mickey’s” that offers a great selection of Disney merchandise, toys, and clothing.  Intermission Food Court consists of 4 stations serving different food items like roast chicken, salmon, pizza, burgers, hot dogs and to-go foods.  We did eat the roast chicken which was amazing and a few other items.

Intermission Food Court had 4 different food stations and a to-go food items

$15.49 for each plate of mojo roasted chicken and 2 sides

Pool

There are actually 3 pools at this hotel: Piano pool, Guitar and Kiddie pool.  The 2 main pools did have a wheelchair lift on the side.  Guitar pool was close to Melody Hall and had Singing Spirits pool bar right next to it.  We did not use any of the pools this trip.

Final Thoughts

Staying at Disney’s All Star Music Resort was a great experience and we had no complaints about this value resort.  The Disney theming was subtle but it still was a magical experience and made me want to go to the theme parks even more.  I may be back later this year to attend Magic Kingdom’s 55th anniversary celebrations.
