Imagine Music Festival ADA Accessibility Info

By on August 20, 2021

I have been looking forward to another Imagine Music Festival ever since I went in 2019.  Here are the links to read about my previous experience:

ADA Camping with Unity Travel at Imagine Music Festival 2019

Imagine Music Festival Atlanta September 2019

I had such a great experience and the ADA accessibility was really great that year with hardly any issues at all.  It was my first time ever with accessible camping and I was completely blown away at how easy and accessible Imagine Festival really made it.

For 2021, the festival have moved to a brand new location at the Bouckaert Farm in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.  Even with the venue change, I was already confident that it will be just as ADA accessible at the farm or even better.  The Imagine Festival website has recently updated their ADA information and can be found here.

Bouckaert Farm

Wheelchair Accessibility

Since the new venue will be a farm, the event will be on a grassy terrain.  Not only will it not be as smooth and easy to roll on as the speedway was, we would have to deal with mud if it rains at any point during the festival.  From the looks of pictures, the venue looks huge and mainly flat which is better for wheelchairs.

Lucky I have a friend who can wheel me around and I do expect the accessible golf carts to be back to drive those with mobility issues far distances like previous years.  There are no mobility aids to be rented so guests must bring what they need with them.

Accessible Services Kiosk

Again, for the who require plug ins to charge their wheelchairs or scooters, they can bring them to the Accessible Services kiosk to do so.  From my previous experiences, I find the staff at the kiosk very helpful and have charged a few items with them.

make sure to visit the ADA Accessibility kiosk for all your disability needs and questions

This is also where people get registered to get a companion wristband and learn about anything that deals with accessibility.  The companion wristband allows them to accompany the disabled guest at all accessible spots like the raised viewing platform for each stage.

I really like having the option to use the accessible viewing platform.  Sometimes I might feel like I want to be with the crowd and get the experience closer to the stage.  It does get quite packed and crazy making it hard to see anything.  This is when I would retreat to the raised viewing platform.

ADA Camping

There are a few different options that are all ADA accessible.  It all depends on your tolerance, comfortability level and budget.  I have never gone camping as a disabled person before attending Imagine Festival in 2019.  I had no idea what to expect and didn’t really own any type of camping gear.  My best option was to go with Qube camping which already comes with a tent, 2 air mattresses, pillows and linen.

our Qube tent came with the essentials

There are also choices to bring your own vehicle, tent and choices to rent RV’s and more.  Please refer to the website for all available options.  For those who prefer a hotel can also skip the camping and rent an accessible suite nearby.  I haven’t decided what option I am doing yet but follow along my social media for updates please.

Additional Information

There will definitely be wheelchair accessible restrooms, porta potties and showers for those who are wondering.  Not only are they located at every restroom location, they even had one within the vicinity of the accessible viewing platforms.  I found this extremely useful when watching certain acts and not wanting to miss much of the performances.

accessible porta potties can be found at every restroom location

ATMs and concessions are also all wheelchair accessible and located throughout the venue.  I find staff members are very helpful too if anyone needs directions or a hand with anything.  Imagine festival also allows service animals and have services for the hearing impaired or with special dietary needs.  Please email ada@imaginefestival.com for more assistance or questions.

they do have a separate private single restroom and accessible shower

I really can’t wait to get to Imagine Festival and can’t believe it’s happening in less than 4 weeks.  Refer to their ADA page for more information but I can honestly say this festival will be worth it even if you have any type of disability.  You will be taken care of whether you do the ADA camping or not.  This will be an event to remember.

doesn’t this look amazing?

Don’t forget to follow my facebook page for updates and see how fun this festival actually is and how this music festival really is.  Look for my full review and blog post at the end of September to join along on this festival experience like no other.  Let Imagine Music Festival be on your list this year.
